HE'S FINE!!!!!!!!!

................ not best pleased, but he'll live to see another cheery day.

According to Auntie Jayne, everything went well and Harvey spent the night tucked up in the North of the Island with his blankey and toy cow.

So we're off to Laxey beach later to play on some rocks, chase some seagulls and raise some hell!

Men of the world unite in sympathy

Tomorrow morning Harvey Farrell Jay-Z Poyntz (Harvey Legbanger to those who know him best) will be paying a visit to Auntie Jayne the vet.

Let's just say he'll be coming home a 'changed' puppy...............

The ladies of Laxey and the cushions on my sofa will be relieved......... Harvey, maybe not so much

Douglas from above

The poet Gary Snyder once said you must look at all past or present situations from a 4000 mile view-point. A distant, removed perspective. So I tried this with Douglas.

another moonrise over the bay.
In the end Douglas is just Douglas.Nothing less nothing less.

Finding Ned Devine

photos from our mini-hike from Glen Maye to Niaraibylarbileaybirraly. Chris, Cathy and I made the walk through the shroud of Mannanins' cloak, or at least his jumper.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
we started with our traditional on holiday pose in front of the falls.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
snapped a few of the glen creek. That's right, the very same spot in which Michael almost died.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Cathy starts us up the coast trailhead, above where the glen meets the sea.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
One of them there "artsy" type photo picture thingys.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Just spectacular views in every direction. Straight across the sea is Ireland.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I called this Mini-Sur, homage to my spiritual vortex, Big Sur.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
And we conclude our hike here at Niarblaiyyrlbyiiaarbl, also known as the Ned Devine cottage, And a Manx national heritage site. Hot Damn!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
hey! Still more photos! yippee!

Hey Chris... more sheep(s)!

And what a way to end a day, with a moonrise

MORE-Y AMSTERDAM

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
OK, so not the Amsterdam you were hoping for eh? But I found this photo beautifully ironic in that it is the anti-thesis of my perception of Amsterdam which is truly colorful and bustling with vibrant energy. Yet even in its more sublime nuances, I find it exceptionally beautiful. This was directly across the draw bridge from our B & B and when I turned around this is what I saw. A Bicycle culture in full swing. I Love It! Such momentary extremes here.

And here's the obligatory canal shot. Still beautiful, no?

And to just knock you over the head with the whole bicycle and canal thing...

Euro Sketch '05

Just a few sketches from in and around the lesser western European front. Boy how we animation folk loves ta sketch thangs.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
A few jots from our trip to Galway, (Michael and I were in agreement - the coolest city on the scene). We went out to see my good friend Damien gig with his Gypsy jazz quartet, "The hot club of Dublin". good times, good firends, good atmosphere, great memory. We stopped into Taaffe's pub to catch a bit of "trad" music. Traditional Ceoly music.

CHAS-FEST pt.2

some more candid pics from our debauch campout at the Chas-fest '05.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
It all started so innocently and freewheeling...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
nothing but fern covered hillsides... to baffle the sound of the screams

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
As much as we peed in the river it still remained clear, amazing

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Cathy on the bridge over to Chas' farm. Beautiful.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
So how many men DOES it take to put up a tent? Amusingly, all the women could do was squat together. And of course Father Fagan is consecrating something?!?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
what a layout. Chas-stock '05.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
This was the pink floyd cover band 'pigs on the wing'. That's Chas on the far right playing sax.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
with the ethereal sound of the 'floyd' swirling all around, anything is possible. Here I am about to try and levitate a can of fosters up to my face and empty it's contents into my drinking hole.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Everything was brilliant... and then the firegod arrived in spectacular fashion...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
this was the last normal photo taken of chris before he transited into an apparition.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
then SHAZAM! it's like he turned into a eerie waft of ectoplasm.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
some how he was still able to levitate cans of beer up to his ghostly drinking hole.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Anyhow, after 4 hours of rain everything returned to normal by the morning. and then some fucker burned ny beenie.

THE WEE PARADE

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

My utmost respect for these blokes. They've endured the horrors of war of which I will probably never experience. I am eternally grateful. That being said this was the smallest VJ DAY parade ever, typically Mannish. I sneezed and it was over. Glorious.
