My Mate Bob
And my mate Chris is his stand-in!!!! - hysterical seeing as he's only 25.......... but I can see where they're coming from on that one, can't you?
Chris Chambers....

Me and Bob....
Not sure exactly what the film is about, but it is a comedy. And so far they have filmed two weeks in the pouring rain, so here's hoping today's sunshine continues.
Happy Birthday Ewan.....
Ewan is on the Island at the moment, filming with Renee Zellwegger in Foxdale (right in the middle of the Island). They are making a movie about the life of Beatrix Potter, an English children's novelist from 19th Century.
So, Gillian and I were thinking it would be only polite to go and see him in person and bring him him some Kippers or something.
But then someone else suggested we might get arrested.... damn those restraining orders!!!

And again..........
What is going on??? I spoke to Bipin, one of our new crew and I reassured him that the snow on the Island was pretty much a one off.......................... it's usually not that cold here (wet and windy yes, but not snowy!!!!)
It does make for some great pictures though.........................

These were all taken first thing in the morning............. perfect snow and no-one else had been out yet. They all had more sense and were still tucked up nicely in bed. Some-one looks like they wish they were still beside the fire!!
'6.30am.............. it's cold, and I'm standing in 6 inches of snow in pink welly boots..... didn't think this one through...'
Pink face and blue toes...... BBBBBBBBBRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
This shot was taken about an hour later when we finally made it down to the beach, slipping along the railway tracks.
Stunning.

Observe.... The Lesser Spotted Michaelus Daedalus Kennyious

Michaelus Daedalus Kennyious spotters must always approach this species with extreme caution. Awakening the male unexpectedly can result in a wild and dangerous reaction. This normally placid and gentle mammal has been known to become delirious and aggressive, if disturbed from his normal sleeping routine.

I Don't Get it... Did it Snow Somewhere?
Thursday, March 02, 2006
LET IT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

The place was covered - and nobody was going anywhere. The amazing thing is that just North of Laxey, there was absolutely no sign of snow. I couldn't get my car out of the driveway and down the lane, without a high risk of skidding into a lovely Manx wall.
The bus service through Laxey was also temporarily diverted - what else are you to do but play!!!!
Harvey had never seen snow before - and neither had my neighbour's children. So I thought it only fair that I walk with them down to the Glen and trash the heck out of them with snowballs!!
Although a certain young lady got the hand of this all too quickly!!
Ready.............
Aim.......................
FIRE!!!!!!!!................ this poor bloke only stepped out of the local shop for a coffee break
Training to be a woman with attitude (Quite right)
Some more pictures from around the village..........
Yours frozen.
Up our lane....
I can't believe I was considering buying him boots for the cold weather - he loved the snow.
If you look very closely you can see the Laxey wheel in the distance. The clouds were amazing, very ominous looking.
This is one of my cats, Tyke. I swear if this cat had a human voice he would sound like Jeremy Irons. He is a huge, majestic looking cat with major attitude....... and he was more than a little disgruntled at this strange white fluffy rain that invaded his turf.
'Ghastly stuff'
Action Harvey

It was almost a pity when the through roads were cleared and it was time for me to bus into Douglas..........................but it looks like more still to come.............
