World Cup Fever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all went to Havanna last night to watch the big England v Sweden game in the World Cup.

We had a great table reserved right in front of the big screen - coupled with some nice food and beer, I hoped we were in for a good night.

Not disappointed, England scored within the 1st half, even after loosing one of their best players less than a minute into the game.

Then someone from Sweden scored, I think. Then I bumped into some friends, and then it was half time or something........... when I started paying attention again England scored a belting goal, only to be equalised in the final minute by Sweden to make it 2:2

All very exciting stuff. Although I'm still not sure how I got into a betting situation whereby because the end result was a draw I had to buy beer.?.

So now we're getting ready for the next installment. 4.00pm Sunday 25th July, England V Paraquay. Bring it on!!!

Some more snap shots of the TT fortnight

Wassup KK.................................!!!!!

Dev, Shankar, Michel, Rajesh and some more questionable red leather sofas.

So, the Manx government has found a new an innovative way of dealing with squwaking children on the prom.

A happy crew..............

I love traditional funfairs. Designed to entice those partial to sweets, burgers, candyfloss and stuffed toys - lured by tasty food, cheap teddy bears and amusement rides that will take you from 0 to nauseated in 5 seconds.

The voice of experience.

Sophie's been burning the candle at both ends....

So in the midst of all the TT fun and parties, it all got a bit much for one young lady.

Only one thing to say..........

WWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another attraction you shouldn't have a go at after 4 pints of Stella and a cheese burger. That and some Manx women.

Our guys just by the studio - I think on the ONE cloudy day over TT!!

BBQ and my house on the TT bank holiday, Senior Race Day. The weather was absolutely glorious..... although not as good as the food. Nor the hostess, obviously. Anyway, moving on...

Thomas on the morning of his flight to London - you can barely tell the boy was up all night playing cards.

The lovely Patrice enjoying a crew dinner. Yes guys, we still have the red leather sofas.

A MOUTHFUL OF TT

TT 2006; SUPERBIKE RESULT
04 June 2006

Direct from the Isle of Man;

TT Superbike Race Saturday June 3rd 2006

John McGuinness took his total of Isle of Man TT victories to nine when he led virtually from start to finish to win today’s Jester Interactive Superbike race on his Honda Fireblade, in the process setting new lap and race records as well as a new outright lap record. McGuinness also won the race last year.
McAdoo Kawasaki rider Ian Hutchinson was this evening stripped of his second-place finish in the Isle of Man TT Supersport race after being disqualified on a technicality. Apparently he was found to be sane and sober at races end and therefore disqualified.

The race was run in brilliant sunshine on just about the hottest day of the year in the Island – in fact riders had been warned to watch out for melting tar on one stretch of the course! And by the luck of the manx, there is a tremendous shortage of sunscreen available. Wise locals will defer to heavy manx cream to combat the freakish sunshine.

Sidecar ‘A’ Race report Monday afternoon June 5th 2006

Nick Crowe and Darren Hope kept the Manx flag flying when they had a comfortable victory in this afternoon’s VisitIsleofMan.com Sidecar ‘A’ race in the Isle of Man TT. It was a second win for the local crew, after opening their account last year, and they also recorded their first sub 20 minutes lap of 19 minutes 55.97 seconds (113.571 miles an hour).

TT Purple Helmet Update June 6th 2006

A devastating fire in the premises of the Wilson & Collins factory over the weekend, has resulted in the Purple Helmets Motorcycle Display Team losing all their props and equipment, used for their stunt shows.

Over a five year period, the team have built up their stock of weird and wonderful contraptions, which include the famous roll-over bike and the long bike, as well as their stable of racing wheelie bins, all of which have been destroyed.

In the true spirit of their dead-pan humour, a spokesman from the Purple Helmets who surveyed the aftermath of the damage, said that at first glance, it was difficult to spot the damage as everything was still matt black and that the fire seemed to have made improvements, but on closer inspection, the true horror of the blaze was revealed.
